About Erika Blanton

Erika Blanton, MD, received her medical degree from Westfalische, Landes University in Germany in 1966. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at VCU's Medical College of Virginia. She continued her training with a fellowship in infertility and reproductive endocrinology at VCU's Medical College of Virginia as well.

Dr. Blanton enjoys the distinction of being the first female OB/GYN in Richmond and is a pioneer in the field of women's health. She is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a past president of the Richmond OB-GYN Society and a past president of the Virginia Society of OB-GYN.

Dr. Blanton provides services through all stages of a woman's life from adolescence to post-menopausal. Her interests include regular and high-risk obstetrics, menopause management and hormone replacement therapy, including bioidentical hormones. She is welcoming new patients.
